Charter School for Applied Technologies

2245 Kenmore Ave, Buffalo, NY 14207

McGuire Development introduced the Charter School for Applied Technology (CSAT) to the former Holy Angels Academy after learning of the school’s space constraints at its original campus in Tonawanda. By moving CSAT’s middle school to a new facility, the school would be able to expand its elementary and high school programs in its current facility.

CSAT successfully applied for a charter expansion from the State University of New York Board of Regents of 20,000 SF to provide relief to its more than 1,000 student waiting list, in connection with this project. Work to upgrade the former 200+ student all-female school into a state-of-the-art co-educational middle school facility for more than 500 students began in May 2014.

Following an aggressive construction schedule, the McGuire Development team completed the project in just three months, in time for students to take their seats for the new school year. McGuire Development provided CSAT with a streamlined and open-book process that resulted in the project being completed on time, within budget, and met CSAT’s vision for student success.
