The Rails Project Overview

This Transit Oriented Design – located near the LaSalle Metro Station; is a large-scale new build with the renovation of two existing buildings. This will turn into 312 new apartments in a high-quality amenity focused space geared toward young professionals and graduate students. The apartments will be a mix of studio, 1bed and 2bed apts; the complex will also include commercial retail and boutique office space. The “new build” is approx. 300,000 SF. This will be five stories and primarily apartments with about 1,500 SF of retail space in the front of the building, perfect for a coffee shop. This will house many tenant amenities including, but not limited to, multiple common areas for gathering/studying, golf simulator, music room, large fitness center, pet wash/pet park, and many more.

The “Warehouse Building”, an existing brick building (dating back to the late 1910s) will be restored and converted into apartments. These units will feature unique characteristics like exposed brick walls and high ceilings.

The “Office Building”, an existing building facing Main Street, was historically and most-recently used as commercial office space, but it will be rehabbed/restored and available to lease as office space.
