Job Description: The Controller manages property-level financial health, including AP/AR, monthly closing, budget variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting for the portfolio. Reporting to the CFO, this position will lead the accounting team, ensure GAAP compliance, handle cash management, the budgeting process, CAM calculations, and prepare the monthly financial reporting.

Position Duties

• Supervise the day-to-day functions, including AR, AP, and general ledger maintenance
• Review monthly property budget comparisons for accuracy
• Quarterly Financials to owners and banks for compliance with loans
• Manage treasury functions (cash flow, debt, distributions)
• Review and assist with annual budgeting for properties
• Year-End Close and send financials to Accountants
• Initiate and advance funding requests for new development projects
• Review of McGuire Development revenue and expenses
• Set up new entities with EIN and bank accounts
• Review Operating Agreements and Management Agreements to ensure proper billing
• Manage tenant leases to ensure proper billing
• Manage common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations
• Point person for tenant and/or ground lease audits

Qualifications:

• 5+ years relevant experience
• Commercial Real Estate experience a plus
• Highly proficient in Excel, previous use of Yardi software is preferred
• Must be detail oriented, organized and possess excellent communication skills

Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
