For more than 15 years, McGuire Development has established a reputation as a top-performing, full-service commercial real estate firm.

For almost 60 years, since the founding of Frank McGuire’s first company in 1960, the McGuire name has been synonymous with honesty, integrity, and hard work.

In 2006, Jim McGuire launched McGuire Development Company, LLC to diversify the family’s investment portfolio and build on a lifelong appreciation for real estate and construction. While serving as CEO of The McGuire Group, Inc., Jim identified a need for greater transparency and long-term relationship-building in the real estate sector.

Drawing from his early experience as an electrician’s apprentice and carpenter, Jim assembled a team committed to open-book processes, fair negotiations, and joint venture opportunities. This approach fostered a portfolio of commercial assets built on referrals and repeat business—proof that integrity and transparency are not just ideals, but competitive advantages.

1960

Frank J. McGuire
establishes Industrial
Power and Lighting (IPL)
electrical contractor,
begins acquiring a
variety of commercial
real estate properties to
grow his investments in
our community and in
Florida.

1973

Frank purchases land
which becomes the
future home of the first
nursing facility, propelling
Frank into the industry.
Over the next two
decades, The McGuire
Group was developed,
building a strong
reputation with six 5 star
rated local facilities.

1990

Frank sells IPL, remains
Chairman of The
McGuire Group. He
leads and participates
in various business and
real estate projects in
the region, and
volunteered his time
and support to
countless philanthropic,
civic and charitable
institutions locally.

1996

Jim McGuire joins his
father Frank in the
family business, where
traditional health care
facility systems
become invigorated
into state-of-the-art
environments for
intensive short-term
rehabilitation.

2006

McGuire Development is founded by Jim McGuire on the same principals of trust and transparency Frank instilled into all of his McGuire companies. A company with a full range of services, top customer service, and challenge the status quo of commercial real estate.

2020

The McGuire Group (Healthcare Business) ownership transitioned over a four-year period from the McGuire family to the Farbenblum family. In 2020 McGuire Development Company, LLC officially splits from the McGuire Group and continues to operate as a full service commercial real estate company, under the sole ownership of the McGuire family.
