As Regional Director, Property Management, based in McGuire Development Company’s (MDC) South Florida office, Mara Porras oversees a portfolio of approximately 1,000,000 square feet, comprising a diverse mix of office buildings, industrial properties, and retail centers, each requiring Mara’s unparalleled attention to detail and strategic management prowess.

With over 40 years of experience in the commercial property management industry, Mara brings wisdom and proficiency to her role. Leading a team of professionals, including property management and maintenance personnel, Mara ensures that every property operates at its peak potential, consistently surpassing expectations. Her laser-focused approach to managing properties ensures that every aspect, from janitorial services to tenant improvements, is executed with professionalism and compliance.

Before joining MDC, Mara’s work included leadership roles at companies such as Ciminelli Real Estate Services, Commercial Property Management Group, and Midgard Management. In each position, she successfully oversaw all facets of property management, construction management, and accounting, expertly handling portfolios of up to three million square feet.

Mara has earned several designations and certifications, including the Certified Property Manager (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Community Association Manager (CAM), and LEED AP. She has also received two Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Building of the Year awards for Industrial Building and Government Building. Additionally, she is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
