Lynsee Martin

Assistant Controller

As Assistant Controller of McGuire Development Company, Lynsee Martin works closely with MDC’s Accounting, Finance, Property Management ,and Development departments, developing policies and procedures to improve financial performance and productivity of capital and development projects. She brings over 25 years of accounting and human resource-related experience to the team.

Lynsee is hyper-focused on ensuring that the Accounting team’s operations run smoothly while overseeing accounting more than 40 corporate entities and all active projects. She delivers complete data accuracy for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.

Before joining MDC, Lynsee provided financial, operational, and administrative support for general contracting, construction management, and development companies from various industries. That previous experience includes local projects integral to Buffalo’s resurgence, such as The Buffalo Museum of Science, Darwin Martin House, the Richardson Complex, and Shea’s Performing Arts Center. She also worked closely with County Industrial Development Agencies on projects with tax incentive distinction and additional capital improvement projects throughout Western New York.

Lynsee earned an associate degree in Accounting from Tompkins Cortland Community College and pursued additional coursework at Cornell University. She received training and certification on various NYS Sales Tax, NYS Workers’ Compensation, Human Resources, and OSHA-related procedures and requirements through the Construction Exchange of Buffalo and WNY.
