As Assistant Vice President, Business Development, Nicole Komin supports the Owner’s Representation division, as well as the McGuire Development leadership team with strategies on a variety of projects. Nicole’s role is essential in reviewing a client’s desired vision and aligning the vision with a defined scope and budget. Nicole brings her unique set of leadership and legal skills to McGuire Development, which allows her to oversee and manage a diverse group of Owner Representation and capital projects. Communication and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment is critical to project success of any kind.
Nicole handles any issues that may arise by tracking overall schedules, ensuring the owner of a project is always in the loop and, remaining in constant contact with all involved parties, and hosting weekly
meetings to review any contracts, transactions, and scope changes. As an attorney, Nicole brings an invigorated legal background to McGuire Development and her active involvement with the Bar
Association of Erie County and the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, WNY Chapter,
speaks to her passion of law even after hours.
Nicole attended the University at Buffalo for her Undergraduate, Graduate, and Law Degree, and brings experience to McGuire Development from her role as an attorney to project director of a medical-legal partnership at one of the area’s largest hospital networks. Nicole’s past experience illustrates her ability to implement project plans, negotiate on behalf of clients, and provide a detail-oriented approach to real estate development, making her an essential asset to the McGuire team.
When she’s not busy assisting in managing impressive speaking engagements, such as Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court, you can find Nicole either volunteering at Fleet Feet as a marathon pacer, advising Amherst Senior Transportation Services in her role as VP of the Board, or cuddling up with her cat Harvey.
