Through her extensive network within the Western New York not-for-profit community, JoAnne Hudecki has served as a valuable resource as McGuire Development’s owner representation for capital projects consultant. Her esteemed knowledge of not-for-profit operations and organizational structure has greatly assisted McGuire Development in the service of their not-for-profit clients.
JoAnne has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the Western New York community through her
service with not-for-profit organizations and local civic leadership. In 1987, while volunteering on the
Board of Directors for Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services, Inc. she was asked to join the staff and
spearhead a capital campaign. Starting with just $100, she co-founded the Kids Escaping Drugs
Campaign. The campaign was designed to raise money to build facilities to treat WNY adolescents
struggling with drug dependency and addiction.
Since 1990, the Renaissance House Campus has treated thousands of WNY teens suffering from the
deadly disease of addiction, and the effects that it has on the teen’s families. The Renaissance House
Campus has the capacity to house and treat 62 chemically-dependent adolescents, ages 12 – 21.
Through her staff and many volunteers, the campaign has raised over $12 million for capital projects
and many more millions for the foundation and the campus. Since 1990, the foundation has acquired
three additional properties for treating WNY adults.
Now in retirement, after 25 years with Kids Escaping Drugs, JoAnne has continued her pledge to live her life fully as a volunteer and give back to the community she holds dear. She holds many board positions with several organizations throughout Western New York.
