Sisters of St. Mary of Namur Project Overview

McGuire Development was retained by the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur for the construction of a new assisted living facility at their West Side Convent and the renovation of their existing space.
McGuire Development’s team immediately began working with the design team to value engineer the project, leading to cost savings. We also initiated the RFP process for the selection of the construction manager and assisted in the placement of project financing.

Our team was able to handle a number of issues throughout the project on behalf of the Sisters. We managed weekly progress meetings with the architect and construction manager, assisted with coordination of utility companies, rectified design and site condition discrepancies, and advised the Sisters on the selection of finishes and other design elements.

By working with an Owner’s Representative, the renovation of the West Side Convent and the construction of the new assisted living facility provided the Sisters with more than $1 million in project savings while retaining the original vision of the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur.
